Hovland is the current Chairman of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. The EAC is an independent, bipartisan commission that serves as a national clearinghouse of information on election administration and much much more. As part of their effort the EAC has already distributed almost a billion dollars to States to help with election security concerns and respond to the coronavirus pandemic.
